The Rising Artists Cover Entry Program!

SkyWing Press is joining with Educator Laura Browne at Central Huron Secondary School in Clinton, Ontario to promote youth artistic endeavours through the use of their illustrations as cover designs on our collectible books!

Whenever a manuscript is approved without a cover illustration already chosen, with the poet's agreement, SkyWing Press will provide the student's with the Manucript Name and Title Poem for them to study and create a cover illustration of their own. Student submissions will be reviewed by SkyWing Press and conferred on with the featured poet and one will be chosen for print.

Students get their artwork on a quality publication, their name in the credits and here, on this webpage, registration under the book's ISBN-13 as the cover illustrator, a small monetary honorarium in payment plus one free book and the offer to purchase additional books at a nominal fee.

Although our first publication ~ The Lion and the Golden Calf ~ already has a cover illustration by the poet herself, she has agreed to consider student submissions so this is the first title that art students will be looking at.

Educators: If you are interested in joining this program please email SkyWing Press to obtain a copy of the title poem and deadline date. You must be in the Huron-Bruce area to facilitate the physical transfer of materials for digitization etc.
